Katie is so beautiful, inside and out! In fact, a better word would be “stunning.” Katie is going to be graduating in just a few short weeks so we really wanted to get her portraits done in the spring so she could share them in her announcements.

Katie has been home schooled for the last couple of years and it has really helped her to blossom. She was a little shy at the start of our session, but then as she became more comfortable in front of my lens I saw her fun personality open up more!

I met up with Katie and her mom Julee at the end of April in downtown Ortonville, Michigan. I think downtown Ortonville really has a lot of charm to offer for Senior Portraits. So we started out by the Mann Schoolhouse and Old Mill and walked a bit enjoying the sunny evening. When I was trying to decide which images to share for this post, it occurred to me that it might be nice to show a few of the Senior photo book pages I created for Katie.

Can you believe? This first image was taken in the parking lot behind the Village Pub! It’s not hard to find a great background if you squint a little. 🙂 lol
Katie’s mom, Julee, told me that this quote from Audrey Hepburn was one of Katie’s favorites: “For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.” Love it.

Thanks, Katie!

Jill and Aaron are a beautiful couple, and so in love! Their new baby is going to be so lucky and welcome. I can’t wait to meet her, too!

I met up with Jill and Aaron at their home in Kentwood, and I love, love the colors in their home! “We like color,” said Jill. 🙂 So do I. The peacock themed nursery is beautiful and vibrant. After taking a few photos in their home we moved outside and took a little walk in the park. It was one of the first really warm evenings of spring and it was a treasure to breath in the fresh air.

They even climbed a mountain for me! Well, okay, it was just a hill. But I’m sure if you’re nine months pregnant that would feel like a mountain.
