When I first met Carly her dad, Jay, was hauling her around in one of those baby carriers. We’ve been family friends for a long time; ever since my son, Bill, and Carly’s older brother, Colton, started Kindergarten together. It brings tears to my eyes to see what a beautiful young lady she has become.

Considering I’ve known Carly pretty much her whole life, I knew her senior portraits had to be special. We ended up having two sessions which, of course, led to too many choices! Talk about having a hard time choosing favorite photos!

I finally decided that these ten images were my favorites. I really feel that these images capture her personality and beauty. Still, to see the real “story” you must visit my YouTube page. I made a special video for Carly and it’s available on YouTube for viewing. Just follow this link:   http://youtu.be/yvCn6yLVNzM

I met up with Madison at her home in Ortonville, Michigan, and after talking for a few minutes about what locations she wanted to shoot at, we ended up staying there. After all, there is no place like home, sweet home. Especially on a beautiful fall day when the colors are peaking. Plus, mom, dad and little sisters were all on hand to help out, whether it was a bit of heavy lifting (thanks, dad!) or simply holding an umbrella when the misty rain came down (thanks, sis!).

Madison is truly gorgeous and quite unpretentious about it. While I did edit one image in a slightly darker motif, Madison’s fairy tale beauty stands out as testament of light.

I hope you love these photos as much as I do!

Robyn is such a beautiful young lady!  I have to say, I fall in love with all of my clients. I stare at their faces on my computer for hours and I just fall in love with them. Robyn was no exception.

We had a beautiful late summer day for Robyn’s senior portraits. Robyn’s parents, Chi and Brad, both came along–and I was grateful for their assist! Always good to have a Dad along to do the heavy lifting, and Chi helped with photo styling.

We went to downtown Hadley (is that an oxymoron? lol) and finished up our portrait session at Le Fleur Decor just as the sun was setting. Kelly Smith has a beautiful, beautiful place with just the neatest “upcycled” items for your home and garden. It is truly worth the visit!
