Alanah is truly beautiful, inside and out. If you follow this blog, you may remember our first senior portrait session from earlier in the spring. Back then, we talked about her plans for the future and I featured photos of Alanah as her natural, beautiful self. Since then, she has gotten a little hair cut (donating her beautiful tresses to charity!) and is ready for her senior year to begin. For our final portrait session I brought in hair and make-up artists, Margie Watts of Great Clips in Clarkston, Michigan, and Jessica Keesling of Youthful Image Health and Wellness, also in Clarkston, Michigan. I encourage you to visit them. And they are always willing to help out at a photo session–let me know if you are interested and we can book them for your session, too!

Trying to decide which images to include in my final blog post about Alanah was no easy task. In fact there were so many gorgeous images I featured over 40 in the slide show set to music at the end of this post. Please watch it! I’m really proud of it.Hahahahaha! I couldn’t resist copying the window text for my watermark on this image.  (I know–phootgraphy! lol)

I met up with Tory, her mom, Laura, and her dad, Rick, at the Lapeer County Botanical Display Garden. What a gorgeous place to take senior portraits! There are so many little spaces begging to be explored, and the flowers are beautiful every season.

Tory is such a delightful young lady. She loves music and so we had to feature her guitar and trumpet as well as a few playful images from the children’s garden!

It was so awesome that Tory let her personality shine through–the cape she made herself, and the sword was just cool fun. Totally thinking of Zelda, here.

Her passion for Powderpuff Football showed, as well. “Seniors will win it all this year.” 🙂 As mom said while Rick and Tory tossed a football back and forth, “she’s the son he’ll never have.” Rick and Laura are wonderful, loving, and supportive parents; every kid should be so lucky to have parents like that in their corner.

One of the really outstanding aspects of my job is being able to meet great people from our community. Zach and his mom Danell are no exception–I really loved our evening out at Big Fish Lake. It was a beautiful vesper light at the end of the day (until the mosquitoes came out!).
I met Danell and Zach thanks in large part to the Brandon Senior Lock-In Fundraiser. This year I was one of the sponsors. Danell bid on the portrait package I donated for auction and the rest, as they say, is history!
